Councillor Noel Bullock

At the Annual Town Council Meeting held at Morley Community Church on Wednesday 20th May 2026, Councillor Noel Bullock was elected as the Mayor of Morley for the 2026/2027 municipal year.

Councillor Bullock, who represents the Elmfield Ward and serves on the Community Support Committee, said he was honoured to have been elected to the borough’s highest civic office and is looking forward to serving the people of Morley throughout his mayoral year.

Born and raised in Leeds, Councillor Bullock has worked at New Farnley Cricket Club as Facilities & Communications Co-Ordinator for several years. He was first elected to Morley Town Council in 2015 and has proudly represented the residents of Elmfield Ward ever since. He has also served two terms as Deputy Mayor and is well known for his dedication to community life across Morley.

Away from his council duties, Councillor Bullock has been Secretary of Morley Town AFC since 2008 and has played a leading role in organising a number of popular community events, including the annual Morley Beer Festival and Bonfire Night celebrations. A passionate ambassador for Morley, he is committed to promoting everything the town has to offer and supporting local organisations and volunteers.

Councillor Bullock said:
“I am really looking forward to my time as Mayor. It’s a great honour, and I would like to thank my fellow councillors for electing me to this prestigious role.”

Councillor Carol Edwards was elected to serve as Deputy Mayor for the 2026/2027 municipal year.

The Mayor has chosen the Stroke Association as his Mayor’s Charity. The charity has been selected in memory of his mum, who sadly passed away following a stroke in 2019.

Councillor Bullock said:
“I cannot wait for the invites to attend community and fundraising events held for the Mayor’s Charity, which I’m glad to announce will be the Stroke Association, in memory of my Mum who died of one back in 2019. She will be watching every step of my journey from heaven.”

In addition to supporting the Stroke Association, the Mayor will also direct funds raised throughout the year towards local community groups and initiatives that make a positive difference across Morley.

Councillor Bullock expressed his hope that residents, community organisations and local businesses will support his fundraising efforts throughout the year. He also looks forward to meeting people from across the borough and representing Morley at civic, community and charitable events during his term of office.
