Our Mayor

Town Mayor

Councillor Carol Edwards

At a full Council meeting held in the Council Chamber at Morley Town Hall on Wednesday, 14th May 2025, Councillor Carol Edwards was elected as the Mayor of Morley for the 2025/2026 municipal year.

Councillor Edwards, who also serves on the Community Support Committee, is honoured to have been elected for this important role and looks forward to serving the Morley community.

Born and raised in Morley, as were her parents, Councillor Edwards proudly describes herself as “Morley through and through,” and is very proud to be from Morley.
Councillor Noel Bullock was elected to serve as Deputy Mayor for the 2025/2026 municipal year.

The Mayor has chosen VINT – Veterans In Need Together as her main charity. A veteran herself, she understands the challenges that come with transitioning to civilian life after serving in the Armed Forces. VINT provides vital support to veterans through weekly support groups, a breakfast club, social events, and community outreach. The charity also raises funds for local causes and supports broader community initiatives.

In addition to supporting VINT, the Mayor will also direct funds raised throughout the year to local community groups.
Councillor Edwards expressed her hope that the people of Morley will support her efforts and said she looks forward to meeting fellow Morleians throughout the year ahead.
