Claudio Franco

Councillor Franco was elected to the Town Council in 2023 representing Teale ward. He is a Member of the Highways, Transportation and Environment Committee, keen to explore new ways of facilitating green behaviours and policies. He has worked as a User Research consultant for multiple government departments, including the DWP, HMRC and currently the NHS, where he helps ensure digital services meet the needs of users. Outside of work he thinks he’s an amateur chef who loves cooking for family and friends.

Simon Kimberley

Councillor Kimberley was elected to the Town Council in 2007 representing Teale ward.  He was a former member of Gildersome Parish Council, which is where he lives.  He attended primary school in Gildersome, and later attended Bruntcliffe High School.  He currently works as a Business Development Manager for a Building Society.  He is currently Deputy Chairman of the Finance, General Purposes Committee, Chairman of the Community Support Committee. Outside of the council, he enjoys live music, especially indie and electronica, he is a fair-weather gardener and has grown prize-winning tomatoes.

Andy Dalton

Councillor Dalton is the longest-serving, continuously-elected member of the Town Council.   He has served two terms of office on every Committee since 2000.  He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Committee.  He was secretary of the campaign committee that brought the Town Council into being, and served as Deputy Mayor in 2011-12, and Mayor in 2012-13.  He is a passionate Morleian. He has extensive involvement as coordinator of YSIX Youth Club, Treasurer of Morley Camping Venture, Secretary of Morley Community Church and a Management Committee member of Lewisham Park Youth Club.  He represents the Teale ward.
