Town Councillor runs Great North Run to support Mayor’s Charities

Morley Town councillor, Jim Aveyard recently completed the Great North Run raising over £100 to support the Mayor’s Charities, Martin House and Forget-Me-Not Fund children’s hospices.  Councillor Aveyard, who has undertaken the run several times, completed the arduous course in under three hours.

The Mayor of Morley, Councillor Robert Finnigan said “I am grateful to Jim for supporting the Mayor’s Charities.  Jim is well-known within the Town Council for undertaking these longer distances and we all admire his tenacity and commitment.  Both hospices will benefit from his efforts and I would like to offer my personal thanks to Jim for this achievement.”
