Jim Aveyard
Born at Morley Hall and attended the newly opened Bruntcliffe School, eventually representing the school as Head Boy. He is married with three children and three grandchildren. He has recently been actively involved in trying to save local green fields and the campaign to prevent approval of a planning application at the Tingley White Bear site.
He was elected to Morley Town Council in 2014 representing the new Woodkirk Ward and re-elected in 2015. He is currently Chairman of the Highways and Transportation Committee, a member of the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
