Beryl Burton Gardens

For this year’s Morley In Bloom entry, members of the Highways and Transportation Committee made a determined effort to improve the look of Beryl Burton Gardens, which had become neglected.  Committee members worked with the City Council’s Parks and Countryside to tidy up the area.  The railings were repainted and planters installed as shown in the photograph.  The new planters have a plaque which lists some of  Beryl’s  cycling achievements.

It is hoped that the effort involved has been noticed by the Judges.
